OUR UNDERTAKING TO OUR CUSTOMERS:

   Process and Despatch Times:

• Orders will in the normal process of business be dispatched within 48 hours of funds clearing. We will promptly advise of any delays for items on backorder, (giving the option of alternate product or refund, where applicable).


   Committment to Customer Service:

• EPC undertakes to deliver to the best of it's reasonable ability, a level of customer service that is in-keeping with it's Mission Statement.  As such we will always appreciate constructive input from our customers.

 WARRANTIES:

   Components:

• Are Limited to 1 Year Return to Base Warranty unless otherwise stated.

• Disks that software is provided on, have a 30 day "free from media defects" warranty.

• Consumables (batteries and the like) have a 7 day warranty.

   Systems:

• 3 Years Total Return to Base Warranty.

• 2 Years Parts and Labour, 3rd Year Labour Only.

• An on-site optional warranty is available in some regions.

• Peripheral Devices Including Scanners, Printers, Internal CD-Roms/Writers/Re-writers are Limited to a 1 Year Warranty.

   What problems with the hardware items are covered under warranty?

• Defects in materials.

• Defects in manufacture.

   What problems with the hardware items are not covered?

• Anything you change yourself or through unauthorised service (i.e without contacting EPC for an Authorisation Code) before a Technician makes the changes.

• Anything else you add to the computer (hardware or software).

• Damage through accident or nature, or outside the products specification.

   What support things are not covered?

• Anything you add to the computer after purchase either from EPC or another vendor.

• Or any other problems resulting from things added to the computer after purchase.

• Anything you change yourself or have changed through unauthorised service or any problems resulting from these changes.

• Tutoring in detailed usage.

• Support for networking systems.

• Your PC has been created with its very own Individual Recovery System. You can at any time reinstate your "C" Drive to the same as the day it was delivered, by running the Recovery CD and Boot Disk. Always remember to store your important data / backup away from the "C" Drive. This option will most always allow you to recover from viruses (once removed) or system corruptions. Furthermore, it will identify whether your problems are hardware founded (under warranty) or software in origin. Running the recovery will remedy any coruptions of your Operating System. You will have to reinstall any programmes not included in your Recovery CD.

   Process for making a warranty claim:

• Have your System Serial Number or Invoice no. available. Contact our support number / fax / email listed later in this document to request a RA, (Return Authority).

• Loan monitors and keyboards can be made available upon request, without charge - conditions apply.

   What should I be aware of before I send my system back for servicing?

• Keep your packaging for transporting. If you are returning anything to EPC, you are responsible for ensuring its safety until it gets to our door. If you do not return the base unit in its original packaging and the system is damaged during transit - then you are liable for full costs incurred in restoring the system to its original state. Similarly if EPC receives the system without its original packaging - EPC will re-package the system and you will be charged $40 + GST ($45.00) for the new packaging and labour.

• Any repairs will be undertaken with new, factory reconditioned or equivalent replacement parts determined appropriate by EPC.

   Non-Faulty Returned Items:

• A Minimum of $25 + GST Inspection Fee will be applied if returned goods are found not to be faulty, (Technicians time will be charged at $50 + GST per hour).

•A Re-Stocking Fee of 25% will apply where and if EPC accepts returned goods.

   What are some other things I must do or be aware of with this warranty?

• You should always back up your data regularly. EPC expects that any data that you do not wish to lose is copied in another safe place. This is your reasonable responsibility and EPC will have no responsibility for lost data, particuarly through the executing of the Recovery CD system.

• Make sure you have chosen the right warranty for your system’s use. If you think you haven’t, or if you do not understand this warranty call your sales representative immediately.

• Be aware that the software on your PC can change easily, as you use and add to it. This is a good and important part of using your PC, but of course EPC can not be responsible under the warranty for the things you add or change.

• Computer standards change frequently. Although where possible EPC follows current standards, an item is not guaranteed to work with all, or any other computer item unless explicitly documented.

• Standard EPC warranties or equipment are not designed for ‘mission critical’ or ‘hazardous’ applications, and items used in these applications are explicitly excluded from this warranty. Please discuss these applications in detail to see if an appropriate additional warranty is suitable.

• You acknowledge that EPC is only obliged to repair or replace products under this warranty (at its option). EPC will not be liable for any loss of profit, loss of business or loss of goodwill you may suffer. EPC will also not be liable for any 3rd party costs associated with getting your system(s) up and running by means of software re-installation or network configuration in the event of hardware failure.

 COURIER CHARGES & TERMS OF CARRIAGE:

• All Items despatched by Courier are Signature Required.

• At no additional charge we will endeavour to provide Saturday delivery where required.

• A standard Courier and Handling Charge of $17.76 + GST ($20.00) will be applied for all deliveries, except systems and where a discretion is applied for small items or large orders / volume.

• A discretionary $8.88 + GST ($10.00), Courier and Handling Charge applies for any small item.

• Flat Rate Charges apply for Delivery of system purchases. $40 + GST Per Computer, North Island. $60 + GST Per Computer, South Island.

TRADING TERMS:

   Consumer Guarantees Act:

• Your warranty is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. However, where you are purchasing for the purposes of a business, you agree that the terms of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 shall not apply. All warranties and conditions implied under any other statutes ((including the Sale of Goods Act (1908)) are expressly excluded from your warranty.

  Terms and Conditions Of Sale:

• CURRENCY - All amounts on this web-site are expressed in full New Zealand Dollars & Cents.

• ACCEPTANCE - An Invoice will detail your order as we have received it. Please notify us in writing immediately of any discrepancies, (recourse limitation seven (7) days) . Your order is accepted subject to the prices in effect at the time of shipment and to the conditions thereof.

• SELLERS LIABILITY AND NOTICE OF DAMAGE - Claims of incorrect delivery, quality, loss of, and damages to any materials are waived unless made within seven days. You are obliged to advise us as soon as an event occurs and not waiting the seven days, where possible.

• EPC shall not be liable for any special indirect, or consequential damages whether or not caused by it's negligence. EPC's liability for damages shall in no case exceed the purchase price from EPC of the item deemed to be defective or to have caused damages.

• TITLE - Title shall not pass to the buyer until the buyer has discharged all outstanding indebtedness to EPC whatsoever. Until such indebtedness has been discharged the buyer shall store the goods support in such a way that they can readily be identified as the property of EPC.

• WARRANTY - For all computer system and component purchases the warranty length and nature will be stated on the invoice.

• FINANCE - The customer also agrees to accept interest charges on overdue accounts, and to accept charges for all reasonable costs incurred in recovering outstanding amounts, including debt collection and legal fees.

• SUBJECT TO CHANGE - Terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
